One person is dead and another was hospitalized early Sunday after a shooting incident in Lompoc, according to Lompoc police.
Officers responded at about 3 a.m. to the 1600 block of West Pine Avenue on a report of a domestic-violence incident, Sgt. Vincent Magallon said.
“While en route to the call, a neighbor reported seeing a gunshot victim on his porch,” he said.
Magallon said officers arrived to find one person dead and a second suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The wounded person was taken to the hospital.
“One suspect has been taken into custody,” Magallon said, adding that no further details about the incident were being released due to the ongoing investigation.
Sunday’s shootings were less than two days after police responded to two other shootings in Lompoc.
On Friday afternoon, a person with a gunshot wound to the head reportedly was airlifted by a Santa Barbara County helicopter to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
A second person with a gunshot wound to the leg was transported by ambulance to Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria.
Both victims reportedly were found in the 200 block of North L Street and the 200 block of North K Street.
Police have provided few details about those incidents.
