The pedestrian killed by a train in Carpinteria on Tuesday morning has been identified as a 70-year-old woman from Carpinteria.
Concepcion Bobadilla was stuck by an Amtrak Pacific Surfliner train on the tracks at the end of Calle Ocho and Calle Arena, according to Raquel Zick, public information officer for the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office.
Zick said Bobadilla’s death does not appear to be suspicious or accidental.
The Coroner’s Bureau is investigating to determine the cause and manner of her death, Zick said.
