The Community Environmental Council (CEC) and Santa Barbara Channelkeeper invite the community to celebrate summer — without the waste — at 5th annual Plastic-Free Expo, 6:30-8 p.m., Thursday, June 25 at CEC’s Environmental Hub, 1219 State St., Santa Barbara.
The event offers an opportunity for residents to find to reduce single-use plastics, prioritize reusables, and get involved in the movement toward a healthier ocean and planet, the CEC said.
Connect with more than a dozen local organizations, businesses, and government agencies focused on eliminate plastic pollution across the Central Coast, organizers said.
Attendees can expect an evening of family-friendly activities; opportunities to win eco-friendly prizes; and conversations with local environmental leaders working to reduce plastic pollution in our community.
Visitors can enjoy light refreshments while exploring practical tips, resources, and plastic-free solutions.
