The Granada and Earl Minnis present Psychedelic Symphony, featuring the Doublewide Kings backed by the Santa Barbara Symphony under the direction of Nir Kabaretti, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8 at The Granada Theatre.
This marks the Doublewide Kings’ third annual symphonic rock collaboration, following two sold-out tributes to Van Morrison and The Band’s Last Waltz.
This year, the group is celebrating the psychedelic era, think The Beatles, The Doors, Pink Floyd, and The Grateful Dead, all reimagined with full symphonic arrangements.
Attendees are encouraged to “feel the vibe, dress the vibe and celebrate in style” and take part in the Psychedelic Costume Contest for a chance to win a future night out, organizers said.
To enter, buy a ticket to Psychedelic Symphony; wear your grooviest costume to the concert; snap a photo inside The Granada; and tag @granadasb. (Also, check out the 360 photo booth.) The winner will be announced on Monday, Nov. 10.
For tickets, visit https://ticketing.granadasb.org/21028. Prices range from $35-$110 for balcony section; $90-$110 for orchestra section; and $110 for the front orchestra section.
