Sansum Clinic’s Physical Therapy Department will be moving to a new location — 5385 Hollister Ave., Goleta, Bldg. 1 — on Monday, June 15.

The Sansum Clinic Physical Therapy Department works closely to improve patients’ function and quality of life. The department treats those with injuries and those who are experiencing general orthopedic or neurological dysfunction.

The department’s physical therapists have specialized experience in post-surgical rehabilitation and treatment of work- and sports-related general musculoskeletal, hand, knee and ankle injuries. Medical workers there also care for patients with balance disorders who need fall prevention assistance.

The department’s therapists develop individualized therapeutic exercise programs using manual treatments and other therapies, which are accompanied by customized home exercise regimens. Patients are taught proper posture and body mechanics to prevent new or recurrent injuries.
