At its 21st Hall of Fame Celebration on Sunday April 14, the Santa Barbara Hillel will honor outstanding individuals who have made commitments of time, effort, and generous support to ensure the future of the local Jewish community.

Daniel and Mandy Hochman and Michael and Liat Wasserman will be inducted into the organization’s Hall of Fame, and Dan and Laura Habecker will receive the Alumni Achievement Award.

The Hall of Fame brunch is a highlight of Santa Barbara Hillel’s academic year because it offers an opportunity to show appreciation to those special individuals who have meant so much to Santa Barbara Hillel and to the community, the organization said.

Starting with a festive brunch in the garden at 10:30 a.m., the event will move indoors for short talks by the honorees and current students, who will attest to the friendships, leadership opportunities, deepened ties to Judaism, and broader worldviews they have developed.
