The Santa Barbara Maritime Museum (SBMM) is updating its admission and membership rates that will take effect Jan. 2.
The changes are designed ensure the museum can continue to offer engaging exhibits, dynamic educational programs, and world-class events for the community, SBMM said.
Updated admission rates are:
General admission: $12
Seniors (65+): $8
Children (6-17) & Students: $6
Children ages 5 and under: Free
SBMM members, active military and first responders showing a badge: Free
New membership rates are:
Students – $40
Seniors – $50
First Mate – $70
Crew – $85
Seafarer – $175
Mariner – $300
Captain – $500
Navigators Circle – $1,000 and above
SBMM membership provides unlimited museum access, discounted or free event tickets, and exclusive invitations to pre-event receptions and member-only programs. The new rates reflect the expanded benefits and growing opportunities for members to engage with the museum’s mission, SBMM said.
The updated rates will allow SBMM to:
• Maintain and enhance its educational programming, including popular initiatives like Girls in Ocean Science Conference, Marine Science, and Maritime on the Move.
• Preserve and expand exhibits that bring maritime history to life.
• Fund operational needs, ensuring SBMM remains a top cultural institution in the region.
