The Santa Maria Utilities Department is offering Fats, Oils, and Grease (FOG) Trappers and other related complimentary items for city of Santa Maria residents at a distribution event, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7 in front of Trader Joe’s, 1303 S. Bradley Road.

The promotion is designed to encourage the safe disposal of fats, oils and grease, and reminds residents to never put fats, oils or grease down the drain because they can clog pipes and back up sewer lines, the city said.

Limit one trapper per household, while supplies last. Proof of address is required.
