The city of Santa Maria and Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce, which are partnering to recognize local businesses through a Businesses of the Quarter Program, have selected Benedetti & Associates and M&W Pumps for the third quarter of 2025 (July -September).
On four occasions this calendar year, this program will spotlight local businesses chosen by the chamber.
The criteria are: approximately 20 employees; in operation for at least five years; physically located within the city limits; and being a local Chamber of Commerce member in good standing.
“Not only does this give them valuable exposure, it also reminds the community of the unique, diverse, and long-standing businesses we are fortunate to have in Santa Maria,” the chamber said.
The businesses for the third quarter:
Benedetti & Associates, 2151 S. College Drive, Ste. 101. Trent Benedetti opened the local tax and bookkeeping business in October 1982 and began operating as a corporate certified public accounting firm on Oct. 1, 2000.
Today, the eight-person full-service CPA accounting firm offers a range of services for business owners, executives, and independent professionals.
Benedetti believes in volunteering to give back to the community. He has worked with youth sports, the Boy Scouts of America, chamber activities, government committees and his local church.
M&W Pumps, 1226 Furukama Way #A. This family owned and operated business formed in 1961. Current owners Frank and Lisa Morales took the reins in 2006 and are the third generation of the founding family.
The eight-person business installs and services water well pumps and booster systems for agricultural, residential, municipal, commercial and industrial customers.
The pumps they install provide water for uses ranging from farm fields, greenhouses, ranch animal troughs, golf courses, homes not connected to public water supplies, and to car washes, laundromats, and hotels.
Businesses are chosen by the Santa Maria Valley Chamber.
