The self-guided driving tour runs Sept. 4-6 with an opening reception, 5-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at the Community Arts Workshop, 631 Garden St. Tour participants have a chance to visit the artists at their workspaces and talk with them about their art and interests.

Artists’ studios, indicated by yellow flags and designated on tour maps, will be open 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; and 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday. Tickets are $25 (children under 12 free) and available at the Community Arts Workshop, 631 Garden St., or online after July 1 at www.santabarbarastudioartists.com.

While paintings make up the majority of work on display, sculpture, mosaic, and mixed-media pieces are included. Maps of the tour are available at the Community Arts Workshop.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County, which since COVID-19 safety measures took effect, has tripled the amount of food it provides to community members facing hunger and food insecurity.

Over the years, the SBSA Open Studios Tour has developed a distinguished reputation. All SBSA artists are chosen by jury and their works are widely sought after by galleries, museums, and private and corporate collections.
