The Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department invites the public back for recreational swim at Paul Nelson Aquatics Center, 600 S. McClelland St.

Swim times will be 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, June 16 through Friday, June 18 (limited capacity). Weekly weekend recreation swim also will resume 12:30-3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 19.

Pool admission is free to Santa Maria city residents Wednesday, June 16 through Sunday, June 20. Single-entry public swim fees will be applied per individual starting Saturday, June 26.

Those ages five years and under and 65 years and older enter for free; ages six to 16 years, $1.50; 17 to 54 years, $3; 55 to 64 years, $1.50.

Entrance to the aquatics center is on the back side of the Abel Maldonado Community Youth Center. Locker rooms, showers, and family changing rooms will be available.
Swimsuits are required for everyone entering the water. Approved waterproof swim diapers are required for children not toilet-trained.

Everyone entering the water must shower beforehand. No inflatable devices (water wings) are permitted. An adult, 18 years of age or older, is required to always be in the water with children ages five and younger.
