Maestro Chris A. Bowman will be returning to conduct the Santa Ynez Valley Master Chorale for performances on Memorial Day and the 4th of July Valley Jamboree at the Veterans Memorial Building in Solvang.
Rehearsal dates for Memorial Day are 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, and 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 24 at the Church of Latter Day Saints in Solvang. All music scores will be provided, and Helen Townsend will return as accompanist. Rehearsals for the 4th of July Valley Jamboree will be announced at a later date.
All singers are invited to participate in these rousing concerts that celebrate the spirit of America. Participation in the concerts and rehearsals is open to anyone who would like to join in song. No membership or dues are required.
“We are very excited to have Chris Bowman direct us once again,” said Casey Bemis, vice president of the Master Chorale. “The 4th of July Valley Jamboree performance will include the accompaniment of the All Star Jamboree Band, which always adds some toe-tapping enthusiasm in the audience.”
