A second man has been arrested in connection with a trio of stabbings in downtown Santa Barbara early Friday that left one person dead and two others seriously wounded, according to the Santa Barbara Police Department.
Juan Fernando Rios, 28, is suspected in the stabbings that occurred at about 12:20 a.m. Friday on the 500 block of State Street, police said.
All three victims were transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, where one passed away and the other two were in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
The deceased’s name has not been released pending notification of relatives.
Previously arrested in the attacks was Luis Gerado Terrazas, 29.
Police have provided no other details about the incident, including any possible motive.
