The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office will be taking its Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest on the road this year with the first Traveling Pumpkin Patch.

For several years, Sheriff’s Office employees have competed in a pumpkin decorating contest where fellow employees vote by email for the funniest, scariest, and most creative. Over the years, the competition has grown to include trophies, and in recent years, public voting on the Sheriiff’s Office social media platforms for the Crowd Favorite Award.

This year, the Sheriff’s Office offering is an opportunity for community members to experience the creations in-person and vote for their favorite to help decide the title of Crowd Favorite.

The Sheriff’s Office will be scheduling appointments to bring the pumpkin patch display to group facilities like schools, care facilities, or after school programs. Anyone interested in a visit should email the Sheriff’s Office public information officer at PIO@SBSheriff.org.
