Sprouts Farmers Market is coming to Milpas Street in Santa Barbara.
The grocery chain, noted for making fresh, natural and organic foods accessible to everyone, will be going into the former sites of Trader Joe’s and Petco at the Milpas Shopping Center, 29 S. Milpas St.
The 24,000-square-foot store is slated to open Sept. 2, according to the Sprouts website.
Details about a grand opening celebration will be announced at a later date.
It will be the second Sprouts Farmers Market on the South Coast. The other store is in Goleta in the Fairview Shopping Center on Calle Real.
The Santa Barbara location is expected to bring about 110 full- and part-time job opportunities, according to Sprouts.
The market plans to host a virtual hiring fair with video interviews July 22-23. Potential team members are encouraged to apply online at sprouts.com/careers.
Employment opportunities include department managers, assistant department managers, clerks (produce, vitamins and body care, meat and seafood, deli, grocery, bakery and more), cashiers, courtesy clerks, backup receivers, administrative coordinators and scan coordinators.
