The Granada Theatre will celebrate its 10th annual Legends Gala Friday, Sept. 25, honoring individuals and organizations whose leadership, creativity and philanthropy have helped shape the region’s arts and cultural landscape.

This year’s honorees are community leaders and arts advocates Merryl Snow Zegar and Chuck Zegar; the Santa Barbara Bowll; and actor, producer and philanthropist Bo Derek.

“For the past 10 years, the Legends Gala has celebrated the people and organizations whose vision and dedication have strengthened the arts throughout our community,” said Palmer Jackson, Jr., board chair/CEO of The Granada Theatre.

“As we mark this milestone anniversary, we’re proud to honor a remarkable group of honorees whose contributions have left a lasting impact on Santa Barbara,” Jackson said. “Their leadership, passion, and commitment to the arts continue to inspire future generations and help ensure a vibrant future for Santa Barbara.”

Merryl Snow Zegar and Chuck Zegar have worked to advance initiatives in the arts, education, environmental stewardship, and community wellbeing.

Through the Zegar Family Foundation, they have supported organizations and programs focused on creating lasting opportunities and positive change.

The Santa Barbara Bowl has been an iconic local gathering place for live music and entertainment for generations, welcoming renowned artists and audiences.

Derek is known not only for her contributions to film and television, but also for her longstanding dedication to public service and advocacy.

Her work has supported causes from veterans’ programs to wildlife conservation, reflecting a commitment to helping others both on and off the screen.

Gala attendees will experience a black-tie evening featuring live entertainment, special tributes, and the presentation of this year’s honors.

A gourmet three-course dinner will be served from an elevated platform overlooking the theater’s audience seating.

Since its debut in 2015, the Legends Gala has become The Granada Theatre’s signature annual fundraising event, bringing together community leaders, artists, philanthropists and supporters to celebrate those whose vision and dedication have enriched the Central Coast’s arts and cultural community.
