The California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA), a nonprofit trade organization of licensed and landscape-related contractors, recently presented three Trophy Awards to Steven Hansen Landscaping, a Channel Islands landscape contractor.
During the CLCA annual convention, Hansen Landscaping received outstanding achievement awards for its Medium Residential Installation work on the Phillips Residence project and for its Residential Estate Unlimited work on the Giffin & Crane Witringham Residence project; and a first place for Residential Estate Unlimited work on the Kitchell Parra Grande project.
“The CLCA is thrilled to recognize all the landscapers and award-wining projects,” said Sandra Giarde, CLCA executive director. “Our association’s core goal is to support and encourage our very talented members to create beautiful landscapes that positively impact those around them.
“It is a great honor to present these Trophy Awards because of how recognizable the talent is and how the hard work shines through each project. We are proud to be a part of such community and look to inspire future entries for years to come to continue to grow.”
The Trophy Awards were established to encourage interest in landscaping, recognize craftspeople who produce outstanding landscapes, create pride in superior workmanship, and bestow public recognition on companies, institutions, municipalities and residents for their interest in a beautiful California.
A total of 48 awards were presented at the convention. Two landscape contractors traveled statewide to personally inspect each of the Trophy Award entrants. The judges rated projects on their artistic and technical merits.
Included among CLCA’s 1,800 members are landscape suppliers, landscape architects, public officials, educators and students. Although formally incorporated in 1952, CLCA has been meeting as an association since 1937. For more information, visit www.clca.org.
