This weekend the Santa Barbara Half Marathon will take place and will have a temporary impact on driving and parking on some city streets.

The event happens on Sunday, Nov. 6, starting on Shoreline Drive near Castillo Street. It finishes on State Street south of Gutierrez Street.

The event is a Half Marathon and 5K run that benefits the Santa Barbara Running Association which supports local youth runners.

The event will result in the closure of two US 101 offramps from 6 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.: Southbound U.S. Highway 101 at Castillo Street and northbound U.S. Highway 101 at Bath Street.

Additionally, several streets throughout Santa Barbara will be affected, as detailed on the map below.
