The Santa Ynez Valley Concert Series’ fourth concert of the 2024-25 season will feature the international ensemble Trio Céleste, 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11 at St. Mark’s in the Valley Church, 2901 Nojoqui Ave., Los Olivos.

“We are so fortunate to have Trio Céleste: comprised of Iryna Krechkovsky, violin; Ross Gasworth, cello; and Kevin Kwan Loucks, piano, take time out of their busy schedules to perform for us,” said Robert Cassidy, artistic director. “Their fascinating program consists of Vasily Barvinsky’s ‘Piano Trio No. in A Minor,’ Frank Martin’s ‘Trio sur des mélodies populaires irlandaises,’ and Shostakovich’s ‘Piano Trio No. 2 in E Minor, Op. 67.’”

Lauded for its excellence by several newspapers, Trio Céleste has established itself as a dynamic chamber music ensemble.

Recent highlights include recital debuts at the Chicago Cultural Center, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, New York’s Carnegie Hall, and Seoul Art Center in South Korea.

Trio Céleste members won the prestigious Beverly Hills Auditions and are the recipients of the 2017 Emerging Artist Award from Arts Orange County.

In 2014, the ensemble was selected from more than 500 applicants to be artists-in-residence at Grand Canyon National Park.

St. Mark’s in-the-Valley provides an intimate concert experience with seating for just over 100. The SYV Concert Series is offered as a community arts enrichment program.
