Some 20 justice-involved individuals will participate in graduation ceremonies on Thursday, May 30 to celebrate their accomplishments at the Probation Report and Resource Centers.

The graduations will be held 3-5 p.m. at Santa Maria Veterans’ Hall, 313 W. Tunnell St.; and 11 am.-1 p.m. at Carrillo Recreation Center, 100 E. Carrillo St., Santa Barbara.

The commencement proceedings recognize clients who have completed the comprehensive reentry programs. The ceremonies honor the resilience and determination of the men and women who have steadfastly worked toward this achievement.

All the graduates are involved in the justice system and participate in the program to achieve success in their community reentry journey, the Probation Report and Resource Centers said.

The Probation Report and Resource Centers were opened by the Santa Barbara County Probation Department in 2011, and represent a unique model where multiple community-based organizations collaborate to serve clients and support reentry success.

Community Solutions, Inc. (CSI) has been part of the collaborative team which also includes partner agencies such as Good Samaritan Shelters, Council on Alcoholism & Drug Abuse (CADA), Sanctuary Centers, and Ameri-Corp.

CSI provides residential, home-based, and community-based services that promote self-reliance, skill development, and responsible citizenship to at-risk and justice-involved youth and adults nationwide and in Canada.
