Bank of America team members joined Habitat for Humanity of Southern Santa Barbara County staff and future homeowners to help prepare and restore a 100-plus-year-old home for move-in.
Located on Santa Barbara’s east side, the home is being rehabilitated alongside four other affordable home-ownership units as part of the Cota Street Affordable Homes.
The three-generation family of four that has been selected as future homeowner partners is set to move into the home next year.
The future homeowners worked alongside Bank of America team members while they earned their “sweat equity,” the minimum of 250 hours work that they must complete as part of Habitat for Humanity’s model.
