The Lompoc Parks and Recreation Department invites area residents to bring their yoga mat to Body, Mind, and Heart Yoga, a new community-based class providing a therapeutic approach to yoga.
The class integrates strengthening, stretching and breathing practices while building greater balance, flexibility and mindfulness.
Beginners and first-time yoga practitioners are welcome. Drop-in or punch passes can be purchased in advance at the Anderson Recreation Center, or by calling 805-875-8100.
The hour-long class starts at noon Friday, Sept. 5, and runs until Dec. 19. (No class on Oct. 3 and Nov. 28.
Costs are: $9 for drop-in; $30 (Lompoc resident), $36 (non-resident) for a four-class pass; and $56 (Lompoc resident), $68 (non-resident) for an eight-class pass.
