YouthWell will presents Develop Your Communication Style to Increase Connection, a free virtual workshop, 4:30-6 p.m. Sunday, March 13.

The workshop will help students (ages 10-25), parents, and those working with youth learn to strengthen relationships through active listening and constructive responding. It also will assist in building empathic listening skills to better interact with family, friends, youth, and co-workers. Spanish interpretation is provided.

Featured speaker for the workshop will be Michael Takahara, health education specialist at UCSB. Of the workshop, Takahara said, “It allows me to give back to the community that made me who I am. I love helping students develop meaning in their lives, building their skills, strengthen their positive relationships, achieve their goals, and increase their positive emotions”.
