The National Association of Women Business Owners, Santa Barbara Chapter (NAWBO-SB) has announced the winners of its 7th annual BRAVO Awards, which recognize women business owners and community leaders in the Santa Barbara area who have demonstrated outstanding entrepreneurship, leadership and innovation.
Accomplished leaders in their industries, dozens of women were nominated by NAWBO-SB members and the Santa Barbara County community. The final eight were selected and will be celebrated at a virtual event, 4 p.m. June 3 with emcee DJ Darla Bea.
The following women are being recognized this year:
Woman Business Owner of the Year: Amber Wallace, Dowitcher Designs
Entrepreneur to Watch: Ashe Brown, Pura Luna Apothecary
Philanthropic Champion: Veronica Williams, Stand 4 One
Public Policy Leader of the Year: Dr. Lynn Fitzgibbons, Santa Barbara Cottage Health
Education Advocate of the Year: Claire Krock, Peabody Charter School
NAWBO-SB Member of the Year: Lauren Bragg, Feng Shui Collective and Wellness Vixen
Rising Star of the Year: Reese Large, Real Life
Lifetime Achievement Award: Maeda Palius, Palius, O’Kelley & Janzen CPAs
NAWBO-SB President, Ale Ortego-Botello, shares how this year’s theme, Power Your Dream, is a testament to the resilience of all entrepreneurs and these 8 winners. “Despite the challenges we all faced over the past year, these women found the courage and drive to persevere.
