The Santa Maria Public Library’s Zip Books Program, which sends books through the mail, is back.

The Zip Book Program, which restarted on Oct. 15, allows patrons to request a book, large print book, or an audiobook that is not available at the library or branches and have it delivered to their home, free of charge.

Patrons return the book to the library when they have finished it, and may then select another Zip Book.

A total of two Zip Books are allowed out at one time. Books may be returned to any of the Santa Maria area libraries.

To order a book from the Zip Book Program, visit the library’s website, or call the Information Desk, 805-925-0994 ext. 8562.

The Zip Book Program supports the library’s mission of lifelong learning.
