An Isla Vista man is facing seven felony charges in connection with a shooting and two robberies that occurred earlier this month.

The complaint filed against Jackson Kyle Jue, 20, accuses him of attempted murder, second-degree robbery, attempted second-degree robbery, carrying a concealed firearm, carrying a loaded firearm in public, having a concealed firearm in a vehicle, and carrying a loaded firearm.

The complaint filed by the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office also includes several special allegations that would increase Jue’s sentence upon convictions.

Firefighters and other emergency personnel were dispatched shortly after 10:30 p.m. on March 19 to the intersection of El Colegio and Los Carneros roads.

They found a young woman with a gunshot wound on the ground on the bike path near the Santa Ynez Tunnel.

The shooting victim was taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, but her name and details on her condition have not been released.

Alerts sent out by UCSB to the campus community that night indicated one robbery occurred on the 6500 block of Cervantes Road, while the second one was related to the shooting.

Jue was arrested late Thursday night in Concord in the Bay Area, and was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail, where he is being held without bail.

Jue appeared Tuesday in Superior Court in Santa Barbara for arraignment, which was continued to Friday, according to the District Attorney’s Office.
