The public now has access to detailed tracking data on the progress of the Measure M Bond Program. Facilities upgrades on the Goleta Union School District (GUSD) school sites are moving forward with projects wrapping up at four schools this summer.
These projects are funded with proceeds from the sale of bonds authorized by the $80 million ballot Measure M approved by the voters in November 2020.
Priorities set by the GUSD Board of Trustees include such infrastructure as roof replacements, HVAC upgrades, playground and parking lot asphalt rehabilitation, new playground structures, STEAM lab equipment, classroom furniture and some general classroom upgrades such as flooring, and paint.
Some projects have already been completed while others are in progress and in the planning stages for summer 2024.
GUSD has contracted Kitchell to provide program and construction management services for Measure M. Included in the contract, Kitchell has assembled a public-facing dashboard for information on the GUSD website for the community that provides a view into the program that tracks budgets, projects and timelines.
Users can access data for individual school sites and/or projects across the entire district. The interactive dashboard can be accessed through the Measure M page on the GUSD website at https://www.gusd.us/measure-m.
