Each week the Northern Santa Barbara County Athletic Round Table recognizes athletes of the week for area high schools.
Week Ending Jan. 12
- Lucas Ollenburger, Santa Ynez Valley Union High School boys basketball — Ollenburger, a 6-foot-5 senior, averaged 15 points and six rebounds a game this past week.
- Hannah Ricci, Santa Ynez High girls soccer — Ricci, a junior, scored in three consecutive games and helped the Lady Pirates to a big 3-0 win against Cabrillo High on Jan. 9.
Week Ending Dec. 15
- Jordan Medina, Santa Maria High boys basketball — Medina, a senior, scored 50 points on Dec. 13 and made a school record 13 three-pointers.
