Each week the Northern Santa Barbara County Athletic Round Table recognizes athletes of the week for area high schools.
Week Ending Oct. 3
- Kaydence Fredrich, Lompoc High School girls golf — Fredrich, a Lompoc High junior, was the medalist with an 85 over 18 holes at The Mission Club at the third league tournament. Lompoc is in second place in the league, one point behind leader Atascadero.
- Edwin Monge, Valley Christian Academy football — Monge, a senior, scored three touchdowns — on a rush, an interception return and a 75-yard kickoff return — and made a sack on defense, all in the first half of the Lions’ 69-0 rout of Coastal Christian School of Pismo Beach in eight-man football.
