Each week the Northern Santa Barbara County Athletic Round Table recognizes athletes of the week for area high schools.
Weeks Ending Nov. 8 and Nov. 15
- Rowen Elkin, Orcutt Academy High School girls cross country — Elkin, a freshman, was one of the top finishers in the Ocean League with a time of 20 minutes. She came in eighth in the league.
- Ayden Kauffman, Orcutt Academy boys cross country — Kaufman, a senior, was the Ocean League champion in the three-mile run.
- Haley Townes and Keegan Withrow, Santa Ynez Valley Union High School girls tennis — Doubles partners Townes, a sophomore, and Withrow, a senior, finished as semi-finalists at the area CIF individual tournament, advancing to the CIF individual championships, which are currently postponed from the storms.
