Carpinteria’s boys soccer team dropped a 3-2 decision against CIF Division 6 second-ranked  Fillmore in a Tri-Valley League game on a rainy Tuesday.

The Flashes scored the winning goal with four minutes left in the first half.

Pablo Ortega and Jovanny Avila scored for Carpinteria. Goalkeeper Brian Garcia made several spectacular saves to keep the score even. But Fillmore beat him on a breakaway for the game winner.

Carpinteria is 4-4-1 in league play.
