Golden Globe Award-winning singer/songwriter Amanda McBroom (best known for writing “The Rose,” recorded by Bette Midler) will perform a holiday benefit concert called Wintersong at the Marjorie Luke Theatre, 721 E. Cota St., Santa Barbara.

The concert, at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, is a fundraiser for the Center for Successful Aging (CSA).

McBroom’s program will feature a selection of new, rare and popular holiday songs from a variety of different genres — country to jazz to theatrical.

Not intended as a traditional Christmas concert, the performance will explore medieval to contemporary pieces that audience members can sing along with, organizers said.

All proceeds will benefit CSA’s efforts in supporting local seniors.

Ticket prices are $28.50, general admission, and $45 for VIP seating. Free tickets are available for low-income seniors.
