His new book aims to take children and their parents on a unique visual adventure together. The book uses creativity and imagination to help children bond with their parents and develop a love for reading from a very young age. It also encourages parents to spend more time with their children and contribute proactively toward their personal growth.

The book is available on Amazon, and the e-book is available for just $1.99.

“Dragons on the Purple Moon” takes its inspiration from the spoken bedtime story that Martin told his kids, Hannah and Gavin, every night before bed. He wanted the story to be a source of joy and learning for other children as well, so he decided to visualize it in a new children’s storybook.

Another motivation behind this book is also the reason why Martin had to take an early retirement from his work in the aerospace manufacturing industry: His son was diagnosed with cancer in 2017. It was the power of imagination, storytelling and make-believe that kept the family’s spirits high and helped them get through the toughest of times. At home or in the hospital, Martin wants this story to bring joy to children with cancer and help them grow stronger.

Martin is donating a percentage of the proceeds from the book to the Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation to help support children and families who are battling cancer. TBCF is hosting an opportunity drawing to enter to win a lunch date with Martin for two and drive along Cabrillo Boulevard in his new Bentley. It’s an opportunity for an in-depth book discussion with the author! To enter to win, email your book purchase confirmation to brittany@teddybearcancerfoundation.org.

Martin is a first-time author with a mission to spread joy and positivity among families. With his first illustrated children’s storybook out now, he plans to author many more books that fuel children’s imagination and help them with character development. His latest book teaches many vital lessons to budding young brains, including the value of friendship, the importance of trust and the virtues of acceptance. All of this is taught through an adventurous journey to space and back. With an extensive career in aerospace manufacturing behind him, Martin is now fully geared to bring more adventures to life through his stories.

Martin’s work on his very first children’s story book began when his kids started giving him random topics to turn into a new story every night before bed. This spontaneous storytelling aided greatly in his children’s happiness and mental well-being, which is why Martin wants to do the same thing for all children around the world.
