Beethoven+ Night 1
Immerse yourself in Beethoven’s revolutionary piano sonatas with celebrated pianist Jeremy Denk in three evenings of brilliant performance and insightful commentary.
Each 75-minute lecture-recital highlights a masterwork (or two) — the stormy drama of Op. 31 “Tempest,” the transcendent beauty of Op. 110, and his final piano sonata Op. 111 — thoughtfully paired with complementary pieces that reveal new dimensions of Beethoven’s genius from Nina Simone to Ligeti and Wagner.
