Dos Pueblos High School enjoyed an addition in the midst of a girls basketball loss on Tuesday.

The return of Lauren Robles in the 59-40 defeat at Saugus is expected to help the Chargers (6-6, 2-0 Channel League) when they return to conference play.

“It will take a few games for her to get her legs and conditioning back but that will add some offense we have been missing,” coach Manny Murillo said.

Carly Letendre led DP in Tuesday’s game with 15 points and four rebounds. Justine Katz added 13 points and three rebounds.

“Credit to Saugus who out played us,” Murillo said. “There were some positives. We got some good looks on offense, we competed until the end, and we got Lauren Robles in the lineup now.

“Saugus controlled the rebounds and the flow of the game. We just seemed flat and never really got into our rhythm in a pace we like to play at.

“They always bounce back, though, so I’m looking forward to seeing them play against Chatsworth.”
