Students in the Dunn School’s Robert W. Jurgensen Entrepreneurship Program will be competing against other schools from around the country Saturday in a Diamond Challenge Pitch Event.
The event is a regional competition within the Diamond Challenge Summit, a global entrepreneurship pitch contest powered by the University of Delaware’s Horn Entrepreneurship.
The Diamond Challenge Pitch will be 11:45 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, March 2 in Dunn’s Cindy Bronfman Leadership Center, 2555 W. Highway 154, Los Olivos. Pitches are scheduled noon-2 p.m. Winners will move on to the global finals at Delaware in April.
The Diamond Challenge Pitch brings together 10 of the nation’s top high school entrepreneurship teams, including a team from Dunn School. The students will showcase their innovative business ideas before a panel of judges, vying for a chance to compete in the national finals at the University of Delaware later this year.
Hosting the event is an honor for Dunn School, reflecting its commitment to fostering entrepreneurial spirit and empowering young minds, said Kalyan Balaven, head of school.
“Bringing the Diamond Challenge to Dunn School is transformative,” Balaven said. “It connects the best and brightest around a shared passion for entrepreneurship and positive impact. We’re excited to create a think tank on campus, empowering our students and others to realize their entrepreneurial potential.”
