Explore Ecology invites community members to help clean up trash from the shores of Arroyo Burro Beach (Hendry’s Beach) in a cleanup day, 10 a.m. Sunday, March 9.

Participants should bring your cleanup supplies if they have them or there will be plenty to share, Explore Ecology said.

As a perk, the Watershed Resource Center will be open 10 am to noon for checking out interactive displays and learning simple ways to protect our local watersheds.

“Keeping trash out of the ocean starts before it reaches the sand,” Explore Ecology said.
