For the last concert of the 2024-25 season, the Santa Ynez Valley Concert Series will host the world-renowned harpist Emmanuel Ceysson in a solo recital, 7 p.m. Saturday, April 26 at St. Marks-in-the-Valley, 2901 Nojoqui Ave., Los Olivos.
In 2020 Ceysson became the Los Angeles Philharmonic harpist under the baton of Gustavo Dudamel. Previously, he served as the principal harp for 10 years with the Opera National de Paris, and principal harp for five seasons with the New York MET Opera Orchestra.
Ceysson enjoys acclaim as well in his solo career performing recitals, soloing with orchestras, and taking part in festivals worldwide. He also dedicates time to teaching young artists.
On April 26, Ceysson will perform works by J.S. Bach, Louis Spohr, Mikhail Glinka, André Caplet, Marcel Tournier, Claude Debussy, and Gabriel Fauré.
