The Abel Maldonado Community Youth Center, 600 S. McClelland St. in Santa Maria, will host Spring into Creativity activities in May for local teens.

Young people will be able to drop in to The Studio and demonstrate their creativity, 4:30-6:30 p.m. every Tuesday. Participants can choose from the following four activities.
 
May 7: Mother’s Day Teapots.

May 14: Lucha Libre Wrestling Masks: Create a character mask on canvas, drawing inspiration from the world of Mexican wrestling known as lucha libre.

May 21: Button Making Day: Fashion buttons featuring favorite quotes, images or designs.

May 28: Sugar and Glue Geodes: Learn how to make geode-inspired creations using simple household ingredients in a hands-on workshop.
