Let’s start off with a simple definition of the noun façade. As used in the headline on this essay, façade is a false appearance that may well give a false impression of the topic being presented.
In essence, it can be deceptive and misleading. These days, façade is quite prevalent in most media we read and hear.
Much we have splattered through media is not of any true value. In fact, it may tell us more about the presenter’s ineptness than the garbage they spew about others.
There’s much deceptive dialogue that we’d be wise to tune out and realize we can utilize our time in other endeavors. After all, many believe we may be living in the last days of this earth as we know it.
Scripture forewarns of the return of Christ Jesus and what’s known as the Day of the Lord.
Listen to these salient words written by the Apostle Paul to his protégé, Timothy, in 2 Timothy 4:3-6:
“For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Indeed, to suit their own desires, they will ‘gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry. For I am being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure.’”
Paul’s instruction to Timothy can also be valuable to all who are looking for a little wisdom regarding all the chatter we must deal with in today’s abrasive environment.
We need to be able to discern what many spew regarding their ideologies and immoral concepts. They want to persuade others to their way of looking at the world.
They apparently want to twist what the Bible presents as the righteous way to live. Loving God and others as we love ourselves has been intentionally been replaced with promoting selfish unbridled actions.
Our Lord cannot be pleased with such rebellious antics and will, hopefully, soon put an end to such devious behavior.
Believe me, folks, you will not want to be found in the Enemy’s camp, when God’s retribution reaches reality.
The good news is it’s not too late to realize your sinful ways, repent and ask Jesus to come and dwell in your heart. After all, He’s our loving Father who sent His only begotten Son to die for our sake.
Please consider reading the Gospel of John to learn the whole story of Jesus, who came into this world for the sole purpose of saving mankind from the gates of Hell.
Our lives can be so meaningful once we trust in our Savior and Lord Christ Jesus. Maranatha — Come, Lord Jesus!
