La LoCA Milonga, will present Tangos and Songs in Black & White, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12 at Buena Onda + Empanadas, 724 Haley St., Santa Barbara. Featuring Luis Lima, Camila Lima and Ruy Folguera, the show is produced by Alejandra Folguera, Geraldine Freitag and Matias Requena.

For the concert, Luis and Camila Lima, who are father and daughter, will appear for the first time in a concert open to the public singing a celebration of love. They will perform tango, opera and a selection of lyric songs.
Luis Lima is a world-renowned Argentinian tenor; Camila Lima, is a Carnegie Hall Prize soprano. They will be accompanied at the piano by Maestro Ruy Folguera, an award winning composer.
“The most famous tenor of all times from Argentina, Luis Lima, a guy that would be sent in to replace Placido Domingo, singing together with his daughter Camila for the first time ever in concert,” Folguera said. “We are really fortunate that he heard about our little Santa Barbara events and wants to do one with his daughter, Camila Lima.
“I am related to all this through my brother Ruy Folguera, who will be accompanying them at the piano. There will be no dancing (which is perfect because of COVID), but incredible music.”
For safety reasons, concert seating is limited. Completed COVID-19 vaccinations or a negative COVID PCR test within 72 hours prior to the event are required for entry.
