NOOZHAWK: What is your team’s experience and education?

SENER JONES ASSOCIATES: John was raised in Santa Barbara and Alyssa has almost a century and half long family history here, providing the local knowledge that is essential to our representation. With a combined 38+ year career, a bachelor’s in business administration, both being licensed professionals, vast industry knowledge, and high sales volume, we are proud to find ourselves within the top 1% of REALTORs in Santa Barbara. 

NOOZHAWK: Are these both of your full-time jobs?

SJA: Absolutely! It is not only our job but our career and our passion. 

NOOZHAWK: What’s the price range of most of the homes your team has sold?

SJA: We have a solid history of successful sales in everything from multi-million dollar estates in exclusive neighborhoods of Montecito, to condos across the county for first-time buyers. We pride ourselves on quality of service, which never waivers based on home price.

NOOZHAWK: How many homes did your team sell last year?

SJA: QUANTITY of sales does not guarantee a good agent. We believe the QUALITY of service does! But for the record, we closed 25 transactions in 2021 and will exceed that in 2022, thank you for asking!

NOOZHAWK: Which neighborhoods does your team primarily work in?

SJA: Our focus is on the client rather than limiting our scope to certain areas. From Montecito to the Santa Ynez Valley, there are no limits to our service area. 2021 sales included Carpinteria, Montecito, Santa Barbara, Hope Ranch, Goleta, and Santa Ynez. With networking outside our area, we are connected to cities throughout the world.

NOOZHAWK:  Do you work individually or always as part of a team?

SJA: We always work as part of a team. John provides a wealth of knowledge, experience, and connections as a seasoned agent. Alyssa is the Transaction Coordinator and brings a fresh touch to marketing and social media. With our unique and powerful suite of services, we’ve got you covered! Our transactions move forward efficiently and quickly; every finite detail is managed for sales to close on time, EVERY time.

NOOZHAWK: What type of support staff or resources does your team have?

SJA: We have a great support system with Village Properties at our back. With full-time Marketing Specialists, advertising deadlines are met, copywriting is accurate, photographs show the home in its best light, and our listings are featured on our website and across a variety of other sites and publications. Village Properties also has a top-of-the-line work culture and a family of 150+ agents that share resources and pocket listings abundant! 

NOOZHAWK: How do you keep your team’s clients informed about your progress?

SJA: Communication is the foundation of our representation and reputation. We pride ourselves on personal contact where the “one-on-one” conversation is our preferred form of contact. Email is essential, texts are terrific, but we always welcome a personal call!

NOOZHAWK: Can you recommend service providers who can help your team’s clients obtain a mortgage, make home repairs, etc?

SJA: We are proud to have established long-standing professional relationships within the real estate industry and are known by our peers, loan brokers, escrow officers, and contractors as someone you want in your corner. We have a list for you a mile long!

NOOZHAWK: Do you show properties from other companies’ listings?

SJA: Our clients will always see everything on, or off, the market that meets their needs. We never hesitate to contact other companies agents’ if it means finding the right fit for a client.

SJA: We are proud of our website which will always feature our current listings along with all current, south county offerings and is easily found on the web when searching for Santa Barbara real estate. Utilizing SEO and constant updates, we strive to keep the site relevant and at the forefront of Santa Barbara Real Estate searches.

NOOZHAWK: What does your team suggest sellers do to get their house ready to put on the market?

SJA: Ok, this is the fun part! We’ve all heard it, “You never get a second chance to make a first impression!” Thoughtful home preparation is critical in today’s competitive market. Not every home may need to be professionally staged, but we do insist that every home is impeccably clean, organized, nicely furnished, and uncluttered, thereby assuring our ability to sell successfully. New buyers should be able to imagine themselves in the home. 

We have a support team that will assess the condition of the home and works together with the owner to get the home properly prepared. We have overseen remodel and landscaping projects and worked to get deferred maintenance completed, all with a successful sale as the ultimate goal. Gorgeous photographs are the #1 selling tool! We take the time to clean and style the home, then hire professional photographers, resulting in high-impact photos that will assure a first-class marketing presence.
