Registration is now open for local authors to participate in the third annual Carpinteria Festival of Books, noon-4 p.m. April 12 at the Lynda Fairly Carpinteria Arts Center, 865 Linden Ave.

Presented by the Carpinteria Writers group in partnership with the Lynda Fairly Carpinteria Arts Center, the festival accepts authors of all genres, traditionally or self-published.

Authors should live in either Santa Barbara or Ventura counties, and an Art Center membership is required to participate.
