The Granada Theatre’s centennial celebrations continue with a performance by musical powerhouse and “The Queen of the Bassists” Nik West, 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 23 at 1214 State St., Santa Barbara.

West’s performance will incorporate an intimate cabaret-style setting. Guests will have the opportunity to be seated right onstage and may find themselves dancing to the tune of their own beat.

Tickets, at $20.24, are available online at https://ticketing.granadasb.org/19175.

Since it first opened 100 years ago, The Granada Theatre has worn many hats. It started out as a silent movie and live theater venue in 1924 before it became a movie palace under Warner Bros. in the 1930s.

Today, The Granada Theatre still embraces the performing arts in Santa Barbara. The Granada will present additional centennial programming through the year.
