The next Noon Concert at Trinity Episcopal Church in Santa Barbara will feature Vocal Motets from the Renaissance to the Present, 12:15-12:45 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6.

Performing will be Becky Hoffman and Jennifer Johnson, sopranos; Holly Hoffman, alto; and Thomas Joyce, keyboards.

The program will include works by Tomas Luis de Victoria, Felix Mendelssohn, Ivo Angtognini, Michael McGlynn & Will Tood.

Admission is free with tax-deductible donations accepted at the door. Doors open at 11:45 a.m.

Hoffman, a soprano, has been a member of Santa Barbara’s choral community for some 20 years. She has sung with the Santa Barbara City College Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, Quire of Voyces, UCSB Chamber Choir, Santa Barbara Chamber Singers, and the Old Mission Santa Barbara Schola.

She is currently a member of the choir at Trinity Episcopal Church. 

Johnson’s musical background spans choral and sacred music, musical theater, and studio recording. She holds a minor in vocal performance, and spent more than 25 years performing on the musical theater stage in Ohio before moving to Southern California.

She currently sings at Trinity Episcopal Church in Santa Barbara and with Adelfos Ensemble.

Organist Thomas Joyce is director of music at Trinity Episcopal Church. He combines his passion for the keyboard instruments (piano, organ, and harpsichord) with conducting the Trinity Choir.
