The Lompoc Recreation Division invites kids to experience the magic of LEGO building blocks with Harry Potter-themed LEGO engineering summer camps.
The Play-Well TEKnologies Lego Camp workshops run Monday, July 29, through Friday, Aug. 2, at Anderson Recreation Center, 125 W. Walnut Ave.
Harry Potter Magical Engineering using LEGO is open to kids ages 5-7 years old, and Harry Potter Master Engineering using LEGO is open to kids ages 7-12 years. Seven-year-olds can choose which camp to attend. Each camp cost $145 per participant.
Magical Engineering runs from 9 a.m.-noon each day of camp, while Master Engineering runs from 1-4 p.m.
The camps are designed to develop and enhance students’ problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, expose them to concepts and vocabulary of engineering, architecture and physics, and provide an opportunity for fun with a versatile building system.
Registration is taken in-person at Anderson Recreation Center, by phone at 805-875-8100, or online at: http://apm.activecommunities.com/lompocrecreation.
