The Kiwanis Club of Santa Barbara and Santa Barbara Oddfellows service club recently recognized 14 local graduating seniors during a dinner event at the Santa Barbara Carriage Museum.

The Kiwanis Club presented eight scholarships for $2,500 and two for $3,500.

This year in addition to recognizing the memory of Kiwanis member Brad Naegle with the $3,500 scholarship, the club memorialized long-time member Anita Dominocielo-Ho with a scholarship in her name for $3,500.

The Kiwanis Club of Santa Barbara awarded 10 scholarships to the following local graduating seniors:

Jesse Diaz; Fatima Arias-Zarate (Brad Naegle Award); Ashley Barreto Flores; Lizbeth Lopez Flores; Cenitha De Jesus Purdy (Anita Dominocielo-Ho Award); Elisa Sanchez Moctezuma; Isabella Figueroa; Sagarika Manian; Luna Ramirez Solano; Jaxson Bevan.

The OddFellows Club of Santa Barbara awarded four scholarships to the following graduating seniors: Malava Canfield, Madeline Ferries, Jeremy Westmacott, Katlyn Bryant.

In addition to monetary scholarships the graduates received certificates of recognition by local Assemblymember Gregg Hart.

The Kiwanis Club thanks Chris Ralston, Nancy Butterfield, Janice Rorick, and Dr. Dan Montello for their dedication in making this year’s selections.
