Celebrating its 35th year, the Santa Maria Valley Strawberry Festival will take place April 26-28 at the Santa Maria Fairpark.

Opening day, Friday April 27, is Seniors’ Day, when all seniors ages 62 and over will receive free admission.

Saturday, April 28 is Kids’ Day and children ages 6-11 can attend the festival for $5 (children ages 5 and under are always free).

On Fiesta Day, Sunday, April 28, new promotions include: students receive free admission with valid student ID; $5 festival admission before 5 p.m. for all concert ticket holders; and carnival wristbands are $5 off.

Sunday entertainment includes a Hispanic rodeo with bull riding, dancing horses, and concert. (Additional ticket required.)
 
Other festival highlights include: strawberry tasting from local growers; shopping and food offerings from 100-plus vendors; strawberry cooking show; classic cars; carnival rides; and live entertainment.

Ticket costs are: General admission adult tickets (ages 12-61) $15; youth tickets (6-11) and Senior (62+) $13; and kids (5 and under) free. Carnival ride wristbands are $45.
