World Dance for Humanity invites community members to Get Scary for Charity at the Thrills and Chills Dance Fest, a free dance party, 2-4 p.m Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Courthouse Sunken Gardens. Dance Fest proceeds benefit education in Santa Barbara and Rwanda.
Community members can learn World Dance’s new Halloween Dance Medley choreographed to such haunting melodies as “Spooky,” “Ghostbusters,” “Monster Mash,” “This is Halloween,” “Superstition,” “Another One Bites the Dust” and “Killer Queen.”
Participants can choose to learn all the dances, or just the ones they feel like doing. Dance groups are invited to perform their own spooky choreography.
Practices are now in progress at the following times and locations:
» Saturdays and Sundays, 9:45-10:15 a.m. at the Santa Barbara Dance Center, 127 W. Canon Perdido St.
» Mondays and Wednesdays, 6:30-7 p.m. at the Veteran’s Building, 112 W. Cabrillo Blvd.
