Students in the Vista del Mar Union School District have outperformed both state and Santa Barbara County averages in the latest standardized test scores, the district has announce.
In mathematics, more than 40% of Vista students in grades 3-8 scored at or above grade level, significantly outpacing the California state average of 35% and the Santa Barbara County average of 28%.
In English Language Arts (ELA), 46% of Vista students achieved scores at or above grade level, surpassing the county average of 39%. The district just missed matching the state ELA average of 47%.
“These results are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students, teachers, and families,” said Bree Valla, superintendent of Vista. “We are incredibly proud of our students’ achievements and remain committed to supporting their academic success.”
